Hygroscopic salts trigged by rain Part-1

Background

Colourless damp patches have been observed above ground level in several areas of the property. In the kitchen, a damp patch has formed high up on the external wall, approximately 2 metres above ground. Despite recent repointing of the external wall, this issue persists. Additionally, a damp patch has been identified on the basement wall, raising concerns about rising damp. However, as the wall is below ground level, it is also susceptible to penetrating damp.
